The Erasmus+ AngoSAP Project extends its duration until March 2027 to consolidate Psychological Support Centres in Angolan universities.

The International Project Erasmus+ AngoSAP has approved a four-month extension to its execution calendar, extending its total duration from 36 to 40 months. With this decision, the Project will continue to be developed until late March 2027, with the aim of ensuring the consolidation and sustainability of the Diagnostic and Psychological Guidance Centres (CDOPs) implemented in the participating universities of Angola.

The extension has been adopted as a strategic decision aimed at ensuring the adequate harmonisation, consolidation, and operational alignment of the four centres established within the Project framework. This additional period will allow for the strengthening of the CDOPs' management structures and the achievement of an equivalent level of institutional and functional maturity among the different universities.

Another of the key objectives of the additional period will be the formal establishment of The Euro-African Psychology Network, conceived as a high-value-added structural outcome that will guarantee the Project's sustainability beyond its initial funding. The expansion will allow for the formalisation of institutional agreements, the establishment of collaboration memorandums, and the definition of a strategic plan to ensure the long-term continuity of this network.

In this context, the project is also developing a Reference Manual Based on the specialised training courses and workshops delivered during its implementation. This document will include operating protocols, best practice guides and clinical cases, and will serve as a key tool to guarantee the quality and consistency of psychological intervention in the centres created.

Ultimately, the approved extension does not modify the Project's objectives or strategic focus, but rather responds to the need to ensure a technically sound, scientifically rigorous closure that is oriented towards maximising the sustainable impact of the actions developed by the international consortium.
