Practising real consultation situations

As previously announced, we have a room on our Bleichstraße campus where our students can simulate and practise real-life counselling situations. This practical opportunity is particularly relevant in the field of community work, community social work, or community development. Key themes of the counselling environment, such as participation, resource guidance, networking, prevention, and empowerment, align with the objectives of the EU capacity-building project AngoSAP, in which our department is involved. (https://www.angosap.org/es ).

The AngoSAP project is a joint project with the University of Cádiz (Spain) (coordination), the Óscar Ribas University of Luanda (Angola) and three other Angolan universities. The collaboration aims to establish a psychological and psychoeducational support centre at the Óscar Ribas University of Luanda (Angola) and at the other three universities (see the previous publication «Vámonos – Vamos lá – Kick-Off Meeting»:
