During the week of 9th to 12th September 2024, the Erasmus+ Projects Office of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation held several information sessions across the UCA's 4 campuses on the management, development, and submission of Erasmus+ International Cooperation project proposals.
This action was presented by the Director General of European Projects, Fernando Pérez, and the three technicians from the Vice-Rectorate of Erasmus+ projects, Javier Izquierdo, Mariló Gómez, and Chus Latorre. The team provided information on the support the office offers during the generation, submission, management, and closure of projects across various Erasmus+ modalities.
Projects commonly presented as partners or coordinators in Erasmus+ projects, such as Cooperation Partnerships, Capacity Building projects, and Jean Monnet projects, were showcased.
Several UCA professors who are or have been managing projects of this type presented their experiences: how they came to manage their projects, objectives achieved or cross-functional teams set up during the project's lifetime.
Among the professors who presented and motivated the rest of the attendees were:
- Fran Sánchez de la Flor, from the Higher Technical School of Engineering, who presented the cooperative partnership project Greeno2 on the implementation of green roofs and environmental education.
- Miguel Revenga, on the Jerez campus, presented his journey through various projects and his current management of the Capacity Building project he is developing with Latin America with “Demos”.
- Alejandro Galán, on the Cádiz campus, showcased his journey through various physiotherapy-themed projects and focused on the cooperation partnership project. Breath.
Teachers Irene Laiz and Jose Ignacio Navarro, on the Puerto Real campus.
- Professor Laiz showed her expertise regarding the soft skills of professionals in the water sector, developed through the project Skills4water.
- Professor Navarro explained the development of transferring good practices through the Capacity Building project that is currently being implemented in Angola through Angosapand the implementation of a Psychological and Psychopedagogical Support Service at 4 Angolan universities.
The aim of these sessions is to encourage the UCA's Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) to participate in the upcoming Erasmus+ project call, in any of its modalities open to all thematic areas and with different frameworks of action at various international levels, from European to any country worldwide.
