The Lueji A'Nkonde University (ULAN) celebrated this Tuesday, 10 February 2026, the official inauguration of the Centre for Psychological and Psycho-educational Diagnosis and Guidance (CDOP), in the framework of the Erasmus+ AngoSAP Project (101128979 - AngoSAP - ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE), an initiative aimed at strengthening psychological and psycho-educational support services in higher education institutions in Angola.
The opening ceremony was attended by academic authorities, teachers and students, who highlighted the strategic importance of the new Centre for the university community and its social environment. The CDOP was created with the aim of offering specialised psychological and psycho-educational assessment, guidance and intervention services, contributing to emotional well-being, academic support and educational inclusion.
As an Angolan partner university of the AngoSAP Consortium, Lueji A'Nkonde University thus reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality of education and institutional strengthening. During the ceremony, it was underlined that the launch of the Centre represents a key milestone within the Project, following a process marked by various technical and logistical challenges that were overcome thanks to the joint efforts of the teams involved.
The member institutions of the Consortium, with UCA as the coordinating university, together with the Óscar Ribas University, the University of Namibe and the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação do Bié (ISCED-Bié), participated virtually in the event, expressing their support and congratulations to ULAN for this important achievement.
During the ceremony, UCA professor José Ignacio Navarro Guzmán, coordinator of the AngoSAP Project, congratulated the Lueji A'Nkonde University for the work carried out and stressed that the opening of the CDOP represents a firm step towards the consolidation of permanent psychological support structures in Angolan universities.

The opening of the CDOP not only strengthens the student support structure of Lueji A'Nkonde University and the training of its faculty, but also consolidates the progress of the AngoSAP Project in Angola, promoting a more inclusive, accessible university committed to the integral development of its students.
