The Universidade do Namibe (UNINBE) in Angola hosted the second face-to-face meeting of the Erasmus+ AngoSAP project from 26 to 28 November: ”Development of psychological and psycho-pedagogical care services in Angolan universities”.”, co-funded by the European Union in the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme and coordinated by professors from the Department of Psychology and the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations of the University of Cadiz (UCA). The project contributes directly to Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Health and well-being), 4 (Quality education) and 10 (Reduction of inequalities), promoting accessible, inclusive and contextualised psychological and psycho-educational care for the Angolan university community.
UNINBE received the partners from the University of Cadiz, Lueji A'Nkonde University (ULAN), Escola Superior Pedagógica do Bié (ESPB) and Oscar Ribas University (UOR), to carry out the sessions of the Project Consortium. During these meetings, the participating institutions were able to work together to review the progress achieved to date, as well as to plan new actions to impact mental health in universities and the academic success of students.

Over three days, several working sessions were held in Namibe, dedicated to the progress and consolidation of the Psychological and Psycho-pedagogical Guidance Centres (CDOP). The meetings focused on reviewing the current status of the Centres, coordinating the next phases of implementation and defining new actions aimed at strengthening their operation, sustainability and impact on the university community. They also planned training and research activities that will contribute to improving the quality of services to be offered by the CDOPs in Angolan institutions.



In the framework of this meeting, the official launching of the Euro-African Psychology Network, promoted by the Erasmus+ AngoSAP project and conceived as a space for scientific-professional cooperation open to educational and health institutions and professionals from both continents. This network was created with the aim of promoting the exchange of experiences, the development of joint projects and the improvement of psychological and psycho-educational care services in Europe and Africa.
