The Óscar Ribas University will present at FIICDETEC 2025 the AngoSAP project, co-financed by the European Union, to implement and improve psychological and psycho-pedagogical care services in Angolan universities.
The Óscar Ribas University (UÓR) reaffirms its commitment to educational quality and student welfare through the participation of the AngoSAP project (Development of Psychological and Psychopedagogical Care Services in Angolan Universities), reference 101128979 - AngoSAP - ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE, co-funded by the European Union, in the International Fair of Universities, Scientific Research, Technology and Scientific Innovation in Health Practices and Procedures (FIICDETEC 2025), to be held from 19 to 21 November 2025.
With the central theme of this fair: «The training of cadres as a strategic investment for the future of Angola», AngoSAP represents a key opportunity to disseminate the contributions and actions that the project has developed, with the aim of increasing the quality of the training of university students through the introduction and continuous improvement of psychological and psycho-pedagogical care services. This project is developed based on European models of excellence, such as the Psychological Counselling Service (SAP) of the University of Cadiz (UCA) and the practices of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM).
Within the framework of FIICDETEC, the UÓR delegation, with AngoSAP as one of its main exponents, will present a variety of experiences related to the professional training of students, researchers and teachers oriented to psychological and psycho-pedagogical care. This work is not limited to the university environment, but extends to communities and other educational institutions at various levels, strengthening multi-sectoral ties through cooperation protocols with community entities such as the Directorate of Social Action, Family and Gender Equity of the Municipal Administration of Talatona, which includes the Integrated Care Centre for Victims of Violence of the Municipality of Talatona (CAIVVITA) and the National Institute of Special Education (INEE).
During the fair, AngoSAP will share results and good practices resulting from ongoing initiatives, including the International Round Table on Social Inclusion and Gender Equity, the UÓR Psychological and Psychopedagogical Care Fair - an event that assisted more than 300 students from different careers - and the significant scientific project «Prevalence and Risk Factors of Alcoholism in Angola: A Multiregional Approach».
This latest project is not only an unprecedented scientific breakthrough in Angola, but also lays the groundwork for the implementation of sustainable solutions and effective public policies to address the social challenge of alcoholism in the country.
The presence of AngoSAP and Oscar Ribas University at FIICDETEC 2025 underlines the institutional commitment to the integral development of its students and the reinforcement of professional training as a fundamental strategy for the social and scientific progress of Angola.
